** Green Rose Design, Honolulu,Hawaii 1996 - Present - Creative Director
Began developing small web sites in August,1996.To date our team has developed approximately 50 sites for both commercial firms and non-profit organizations, including several e-commerce sites involving secure credit card transaction capability.
* Achievements:
Successfully developed a number of small commercial web sites using HTML editors : Macromedia Dreamweaver, Adobe GoLive and Visual Page for the Macintosh by Symantec as well as Adobe Photoshop to develop site graphics. Learned, by reading and attending seminars, some HTML programming & JavaScript programming, Flash/LiveMotion and other web applications.
Continue to learn new applications and programming environments: I am currently enrolled in the University of Hawaii, Pacific New Media's Web Design Certificate program.
One of my personal sites, <http://www.antiquephemera.com>, was used for two years (1998, 1999) by the British Broadcasting Company (BBC Wales) as a resource for images for their Christmas site.

** WAT &G Architects, Honolulu, HI 1978-1995 - Architectural Designer - Registered Architect, State of Hawaii
* Achievements:
Beginning as a junior draftsman, advanced to become a licensed professional architect .Through home study courses, attending night school classes, and on the job training, qualified for and passed the National Architectural licensing boards in 1989.
Designed and helped supervised construction of small projects such as the Park and Ride bus station in Hawaii Kai. Participated in the design of many larger projects, such as the renovation of the Hilton Hawaiian Village and numerous local , mainland,and foreign projects in ,among other places,Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Australia, Fiji, Samoa, and Tahiti.
Wrote the documentation and submitted the proposal for the Aga Khan Award in 1983, which won the firm the prestigious International Aga Khan Award for Architecture for the companys projects in Malaysia; the Tanjong Jara Beach Hotel and Rantau Abang Visitors Center.
Developed then state-of-the-art Presentation Manual for firm, 1985
Wrote and documented awards applications for a number of the company's local and international projects . Also wrote applications for Fellowship status in the American Institute of Architects for a number of foreign architects including Geoffrey Bawa of Sri Lanka. This documentation included both written and graphic material: essays, photographs and drawings.Many of these applications, including those for Fellowship status in the AIA, were successful.
