KCEC is pleased to welcome and introduce Ms. Karen Heckman as it's resident instructor-trainer. Ms Heckman comes to us from West Terra Haute, Indiana, where he was in charge of the Hunt Seat Program at St. Mary's of the Woods College. At St. Mary's College, she instructed students in hunt seat, dressage, and jumping. She also coached the Intercollegiate Team and kept the school horses "tuned up."

Ms. Heckman's accomplishments include eventing, teaching Pony Club to B ratings, Hunter-Jumper Mini-Medal, Mini-Maclay, and Junior Jumpers. In dressage, she has shown to third level. She has taught handicapped riding as well as Summer day Horse Camps and Christmas Horse Camps. Ms. Heckman has also done Western Pleasure and Driving as well as accupressure studies and massage thereapy for horses.
